The merger of Scanmar and marketingQED in 2016 brought together two specialists in the field of marketing effectiveness, who both possessed a series of complementary offerings. As separate companies, Scanmar supported clients with tools and software in the field of sales and operations planning and marketing and business intelligence, whilst marketingQED created predictive analytics tools to help clients understand what was working in their marketing budget and what was not.
Bringing Scanmar and marketingQED together made perfect sense and helped us forge a new company mission: to help clients get the greatest benefit from their marketing data. By bringing these two companies together to form ScanmarQED we simply unified the integrated and harmonised marketing data that our clients rely on, with the most advanced marketing analytical and optimisation tools.
Customers are mainly brand owners (international FMCG and CPG companies like Philips, Heineken, FrieslandCampina), large market research companies and media agencies. They are challenging customers with state-of-the-art needs regarding BI tools and solutions.

The role
As a consultant, you will work for large, international companies.
In the design stage, you assess the customers need for information and their KPIs.
In the building stage, you support the technical realisation of the information systems.
During the implementation stage, you develop dashboards and train the customer to use them effectively.
You will be supported (both on-the-job and with a specific training program) by more experienced Scanmar consultants and work closely together on various project teams.
There is a lot of attention given to developing technical skills, but you will also be trained on project management, client communication and business development.

Requirements
- Bachelor/masters degree (IT-related education)
- Some knowledge of the technical realisation of business information systems
- Affinity with S&OP or marketing (research) and the most commonly used sources (Nielsen, IRI, GfK) is a preference
- You are not a ‘hard core specialist’, but more all-round interested
- Some software development experience (the software language is less important)
- Knowledge of relevant database software and tools like Oracle, OWB, OBIEE, OLAP
- You are customer-oriented, think in solutions and have good communication skills
- You are perceived as an enthusiastic self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
